Reply with quote | #1 | Probably kind of odd to be asking this now, but where should a water bottle be positioned in the cage. Should he have to look up to drink or should it be right in front of his mouth, etc.
We were at the county fair this weekend and everybody did it differently! Petey kind of looks up a little when he drinks and he certainly seems to get plenty of water. Now I'm wondering if the poor guy has neck strain from the last 3 years of drinking water looking up.

Reply with quote | #2 | The rule of thumb concerning the recommended height of the nozzle for delivering water to a rabbit is 6 to 9 inches from the floor for medium and heavyweight breeds and 5 to 7 inches for the small breeds. An exact height is not what is important, but what seems comfortable for your rabbit.
